Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
July 14, 2000
Present: Cathy Kuchinski, Daniel Webster and Stephanie McSweeney. (Jones & Murdoch absent) Also present, Executive Secretary Winn Davis and Earl Wilson, Labor Counsel
Webster called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. indicating there was a need to update the Board members from labor counsel regarding on-going negotiation strategy for fire chief, non-union personnel.
MOTION by McSweeney, second from Kuchinski to enter executive session for #3 bargaining strategy with non-union personnel. Roll Call, Kuchinski aye; Webster aye; McSweeney aye Voted 3 – 0.
7:10 p.m. Entered Executive Session
8:05 p.m. Board re-entered open session with Wilson departing. Members of the public engaged Selectmen in conversation after Webster made announcement no votes were taken in Executive Session.
Selectmen were asked 1. To check out the current procedure for fire chief to report whereabouts to Executive Secretary; 2. Promote from within if fire chief remains for a protracted period of time.
MOTION by McSweeney, second by Kuchinski to adjourn. Voted 3 – 0. to adjourn.
